WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
I decided to design and make an outfit for myself.
The shape of it was basic yet I wanted something a little different.
Why Not?

I can do it since it is for me and reflects me.
I am not one to be outlandish nor
do I rebel for rebellion’s sake.
Yet I am different. I always have been.
So why not show it in my outfit.
I decided to make a nice skirt set for church. There lays the basic.
You may start to think…. boring. To each their own, right?
I started by draw out what I wanted. Short sleeves because it may be a little warm
inside the church. I paired an African print with a stretchable skirt and sleeve.
When I was trying it on, my grandchild saw me and she stated ‘what does it even mean?’
I laughed and laughed.
Then I sought to understand her statement. She saw the ‘staircase’ in the hem and the neckline. Since I was only showing her the top and not the skirt along with it, she was dumbfounded.
Once I completed it, she was more relaxed and gave me a thumbs up.

I wore it on that Sunday and was
so comfortable. If there isn’t a decent outfit out there for you, dare to be creative and wear it.
